My dad had a F-250 regular cab 400/auto he bought new. It would barely defrost the windshield let alone heat the cab if it was cold outside. Years later I owned a 1977 F-150 351/auto that had a High Output Heater badge under the dash control. I don’t know what the difference was (heater core?) but it would heat nicely
