I also work in an industrial facility that we have been trying to update lighting to LED in over the past 10 years.

There is an incredible amount of junk out there I've found (sometimes the hard way)...
Trying to use retrofit bulbs is really rolling the dice - performance is spotty as is quality. We have had a number of several different types of retrofit bulbs catch fire.

Also - these things are not a lifetime miracle cure....LED fixtures have a life, just like a regular bulb and they do fail fairly often.
I have a couple hundred parking lot fixtures 10 years old that I have never had a problem with and I have a corridor full of 2 year old ones that randomly 2 or 3 of the 200 of them usually have driver failures in a week.

This sort of problem isn't uncommon, just drive around in town at night and pay attention to how many LED fixtures you see out or strobbing.

There are a couple locations we have gone back to conventional fixtures to get satisfactory lighting performance and reasonable service life.

All the stuff I deal with is commercial/industrial and it is not cheap Chinese stuff. Doesn't seem to matter what brand either, they all have had issues.

I guess my best advice is to do your research about the photometrics of what your buying so you get something that performs the way you want it to.

And especially in the case of retrofits....be aware of there is a very real fire hazard risk with this stuff, so be careful of placement in areas with flammable materials.

Hope this helps!
