And it gets harder. A couple times, I wasn't able to get my mom up by myself. It wasn't a strength or weight issue......because of the way she went down, I couldn't get a good angle of lift to make it work. Thank God for my dear ol' DH who came and popped her up off the floor like nothing. She felt terrible, as you say, didn't want to put anyone out or especially pull him away from what he was doing. But it's what you do. Thankfully, she wasn't hurt, just irritated at herself.
