For home use, what about a X Link BT and a rotary phone?
Plug the rotary phone into the link, connect the link via blue tooth to the cell phone, then you would just have to count the holes.
Otherwise what phone does he have that he is using Bluetooth on? Some of them you can say "call one two three four five six seven" and it will dial and call it.
