Subject: RE: spraying with floater tires

Chebanse, IL.....

Sprayed with both JD 4830 & 4038 (confusing!) with floaters.

I like to run the front axle out to full width and leave the rear axle full narrow. I figure it spreads the center pressure point on the tires, which is where the lugs meet in the middle.

Then, I also spray at a 2 degree angle off of the normal planted row direction. Besides helping to keep the planter row out of a single sprayer track the full field length, it also helps remove a question if any spray double-ups cause problems.

Yes, there are now point rows on both sides of the field, but not a big deal w/120' booms.
