Kinda depends on hand strength...

I can get them tight enough by hand I need a strap wrench to remove at the next change.

If it's something that feels loose following the printed instructions, I'll take it a 1/4 turn more.

Just like truck wheels, overtightened is almost as bad as too loose. You want to do it right.


Fleetgaurd filters had a guide right on them .
