SWNE | Benchmade is kind of the gold standard for knives. I carried a mini crooked river for years. Finally lost it, carried a bugout and a claymore. Boker has really nice knives too and ive been carrying a Boker auto I believe its a intention II and i have really liked it at a lot lower price point than the Benchmade knives. Depends how much you like your grandson I have a Boker Tirpitz Damast i received as a birthday present. Nice knife and cool piece of history.
