Minnesota | I am going to be running 650 tires on my Case IH 3340 sprayer to spray pre-plant chems this spring. We plant corn and soybeans on 30" rows and I would like to set up my guidance lines so that the sprayer tracks end up between the future corn rows as much as possible. Does a CIH sprayer on 120" track spacing go down 30" rows if it's running 650 tires......or am I better off widening out wheels to try to straddle 5 rows? We are going to run a field cultivator pass in between spraying and planting, so it doesn't have to be perfect, but I want to try to get the sprayer tracks out of the future corn rows as much as possible....we have very compaction prone soils. I have RTK for the sprayer and planter.
I have thought about spraying at an angle, but we have a lot of rectangle fields and would prefer to minimize the tracks.
Thanks!
