Subject: GM 6L90 Slip in 6th

NS Canada
2500HD with the 6 spd, Noticed a few weeks ago when empty and cruising at like 50mph and when a load comes on, such as going up a hill there is a little intermittent slip. If I turn on tow/haul I haven't noticed it, nor in any other gears.

Changed fluid and filter, it was a bit dark, but clear. But the slipping seems to be getting worse, or I'm just pushing it more to see what conditions are causing it. It's a small slip/lurch kind of feeling, that will repeat if I make it lug.

torque converter? clutch packs?

Winter driving is a little more lively if I leave that tow haul on, as it's revved up more than I like.
