| I’m really trying to be better about not judging a book by its cover. If you can physically do the same amount of work weighing 300+ as sub 200lbs we will get along great. If on the other hand a set of 5 stairs winds you, we probably aren’t going to see eye to eye(and not because of height difference).
Society as a whole has little if any self control. The obesity war was lost a long time ago. 95% of overweight people will claim they’re the 5% with actual health issues causing weight gain. The kicker is they usually do so while sitting down eating. If ozempic and other glp-1 drugs can allow these folks to be more productive in life, i say hand them out for free! At a minimum, some will get down to a weight they can walk again. Yes, there are side effects to these drugs, but being obese isn’t good for a person’s health either. | |
