| We are coming out of a dry year and have very high N levels on our wheat stubble. All are over 100 pounds to a max of 150 pounds. We are in Manitoba so varieties are short season.
We would normally grow soybeans on that land as we are allergic to Canola.(actually it drowns too often here). Not sure if it's wise to grow beans on all this N. I imagine Mid West corn growers see high nitrogen levels in Fall prior to planting beans but they would have much longer growing seasons for their beans? Any Northern growers run into this before and what was the result ?? | |
