Here is what I do. First, I don't haggle. I don't like people doing that to me and I don't do it to them. I look them in the eye and say give me your best price, I will either write a check or walk out. I've seen some shocked looks when I walk out, but that is the way I deal. Its easy in these days to do your research and know what a fair price is.
