Milford, IL | I did not say or imply that military benefits (or USPS for that matter) should be cancelled to save money. I did say that previous generations of management at USPS made decisions that will hinder USPS performance and hurt current employee morale going forward.
I am not a vet so I have not experienced VA facilities, although I have wondered why we have a completely separate set of facilities for military personnel. Is the speed and level of care at VA facilities comparable to regular health care in similar markets? Better? Worse?
*edit for clarity. In my first reply to you I stated
"The founders didn't specify retirees were to receive free health care for life, and the constitution didn't define retiree benefit plans."
I had in my head (but did not type) this meant USPS retirees. Not retired military. I apologize for my oversight.
