Subject: Planter attachments

I am curious if there are guys running no-till without any attachments hanging off the front of their planter row units and having success? Is a good set of closing wheels enough in most soil types/conditions? We have a lot of rocks and gravel patches and it seems our no-till coulters just double the amount of time the row unit spends out of the ground and when we had martin 1360 row cleaners we had trouble with breaking the bolts the wheels rode on. This would be on a kinze planter. Thanks
