I think most wd say that's low. Take all of $200 for just seed and fertilizer.
Then:
Land taxes
Chemical
Harvesting
Planting
Fuel
And more
If you would have read between the lines, I said it would get you close. Beans are a hell of a lot cheaper to grow than corn, enough so that I'd think it wouldn't be impossibly far off.
So, if corn is $375, and beans cost $225, that could theoretically be $300 per, not including cash rent. At $4 corn, these guys are either getting way more government cheese than we want to know, or this ship is getting dangerously close to the iceberg.
