Ripley MN | I just don’t by that sentiment one bit… maybe there a few well healed operations with a pay for land base that can afford that opportunity… but a high rent base, leveraged operations won’t continue to run over acres just because insurance can guarantee them a profit. Would be willing to bet there would be more acres come online for the young guys to get started..
You can start farming with the FSA… you just don’t wanna take the easy road.
You let the insurance go and guys would give up those unprofitable fields.. the older guys would hang it up because it doesn’t make sense to risk something close to retirement and no profit guarantee.. I see an opportunity for you guys
