It depends on how the tax abatements are done. But there’s a ton of this stuff here and our taxes are rising at an alarming rate still. Bonds are the only way to get any real money and the tax payer will have to cover their share of that too. There will be some business boom during construction if you have any business to boom! Lots of long days after it’s done for the state and county road workers.

As for the farm I’d guess your lease basically sold it to them for big bucks so it’s gonna be ok. But if you have ever farmed something that had flood benches cut in it and was later leveled up that’s what I would expect to get back if they clean it up. A big if there. I’ve never soil tested a solar farm, but I’ve done a lot of crp that expired and it’s worse than farm land beside it. I’ve farmed some of that but turned it all back because I couldn’t make money. It was junk to start with, but it was junkier after being in grass 30 years.
