Hooker Twp,Ne | Where do you draw the line between bad/good farmer? Farmer that plants his corn in mid April and then it doesn’t rain and get hot when the corn tassel. Thus raises crappy corn. Versus the neighbor that screwed around in the spring and didn’t get started till end of May to plant corn and his corn tasseled and it rained a good month later and he raised a respectable corn crop. Is the good farmer the one that has almost new line of machinery but hind end deep in debt or the farmer with older equipment that’s basicly paid for? Or is the good farmer that inherited a bunch of land and has weeds in his field and has cash sitting in the bank or the neighbor whom wasn’t so lucky as to inherit any land but has fairly clean fields but just scrapping by. | |
