coast of Maine | Stetson123,I am glad for your endeavor.Lots of farmers abhor anything taking potential crop land away for a couple decades even though it is not their own.My choice was sell for homes=permanent sale and they do not often tear down homes or a solar field. It is most likely it will be a solar project for more than the 25 years I agreed to.There is a greater chance that panels will reduce output as they age and the updated will be superior than them stopping a lease.I could absolutely say in the case of veg/fruit production that the solar collection field has way way less chem applications .If it were homes much more nitrate pollution and rodents and chems from:lawn care/dog poop/septics/bird feeders/house paint shedding/shingle particles/auto exhaust/cigarette butts/refer butts/ and maybe hairy butts....hehehhehe,,A town my main farm complex is in started spending like mad 5 years ago as they expected a 200 acre solar array to tax,,,surprise!! too many wet lands,,so far no solar array to tax,,thats the problem with local tax collection,,if it shows a positive in the income account they decide to spend it,,fast. | |
