swmn | I've had conventional to one extent or another for several years, just base seed treatment, with VT2 around the field edges to protect from the neighbors (who are fairly careful around my fields). Weed control hasn't been an issue, 2 pass program, usually Callisto or Impact/ with atrazine POST. Since extended diapause showed up a few years ago, I've gone to more CRW traited. Still 40% conventional but dry insecticide adds up quick and still open to the above ground insects. Pretty much a wash but if I could get by with some cheap liquid insecticide in furrow, I'd definitely go back to more conventional or VT2. | |
