Latimer Iowa | That is some really poor quality manure. Barely worth the cost of spreading.
I dabble in manure sales and spreading as we have more manure than we can use. We are currently out of availability beyond what I want for my own farm. Moved about 8,000 ton this year though to other guys. The manure we had tested 67 lbs N, 57 lbs P, 47 K, 8 S. A 2 ton an acre rate spread well, environmental plans written, and hauled 10 miles from the site, I charged $65 a ton this year. We had about $10 a ton over expenses at that. I write the environmental plans myself and we use the planter/grain cart tractor to pull the spreader. | |
