SE SD

E718 - 12/11/2025 13:54 I don't remember price of calves but I was a young guy that could stay up all night a drive a pot. I know order buyers would get truck owners to haul from Montana to Iowa for 85 cents a loaded mile. Side note, late 90s, calves were not selling well. Maybe 50 cents. An IRS agent ticketed 33 pickups for having red fuel at the sale barn. I was surprised the guy saw the sun come up the next day. Iowans are pretty moral.

I remember a DOT dude dip'n tanks in January at a cattle sale, He let his DOT pick up idling so it would stay warm. It disappeared :0.

they made an announcement from the callers box, "if any one knows anything about it, stop in the office" Have no idea how that turned out.
Sure got a chuckle from the crowd :)
