Im a big fan of a TMR. For the calves this will be unbeatable.
But for 30 or 40 head of cows when the stalks are grazed the reality is if you have time restraints, a 20 ft feeder wagon with three bales (two grass one alfalfa, maybe some ddg in the bottom)will save you feed.
You can let them go hungry one day as well. (I know politically incorrect)
