| Maybe I'm in a unique situation. We have some farm land about 120 miles away from where we live. I have been hauling my S650 Bobcat (with wheels) down there to reclaim our pasture. I cut cedar trees with a tree shear, shove them into deep galleys, tear out trees out of fence lines, tear out the fence and build new fence. If I had to pick one machine for those tasks the skid loader seems to do the job the best. But like others have said, they all have their place. The ground is hilly and where the cedars were and still are, they are so thick that grass hardly grows. For my situation the skid loader seems like the best choice if you can only pick one machine. But I'd bet a wheel loader with a wide stance would be amazing.
