| $3,000 breds didn’t work in ‘14. $5,000 breds aren’t going to work this time either. Know a few younger guys that don’t ranch anymore after 2015. Others refinanced those $3,000 cattle for another 5 years after they owed too much on the first 5 year note.
Talked to a guy today that just got healed up from buying short term pairs spring of 15. Swore he’d never buy them again. Now he’s looking at short term bred cows like he completely forgot about the last 10 years.
To each their own, just remember expensive ones lose calves the same as cheap ones. | |
