Nw Ohio USA | We feed Holstein steers. We just feed pellets and corn, no silage or distillers. We mix our feed with a grinder mixer. We have always used a hammer mill machine, running it slow with no screen, in an attempt to not make all the fines. We end up with a lot of whole kernels, along with a lot of fines. My question is, should we be using a roller mill to crack the corn more evenly? If so why? | |
