East Central, Nebraska | i cannot really remember that far back but i remember lots of discussion about doing this over the years. i forget the outcome but i vaguely remember the ezguide 500 utilizing an 'external receiver'. i think there is something in the menus referring to this though on the downside i also vaguely remember it being an unlock.
what i do know is that glonass was an unlock on the cfx 750 which replaced the 500. it was a paid unlock that stayed on the device. I can't remember if the 372 had a similar unlock or not though that is also something i am certain i dealt with for years.
i know this information is unhelpful and i hate to discourage someone trying to make something work but it might be an uphill battle to put it all together. if i were you and working towards this goal i would look into using the external gps for the 500 and then if you could make it see that i would then pay for a rangepoint subscription on the 372 which would drastically help with the accuracy your working towards. then if that was all working and you wanted greater accuracy you could maybe use centerpoint rtx. at the end of the day though if glonass is your goal then you may be way further ahead trying to source a CFX750 with glonass as they are getting fairly inexpensive. if you end up getting what you want to work let us know as this question obviously still comes up from time to time but when it does people such as me can rarely remember how we handled that situation back then. good luck.
edit: also i might add to your glonass and rtk question is, when the devices are unlocked to rtk they still possibly may not have glonass. as stated above you could run a cfx750 and rtk and still not have glonass. I did it for years. like stated though the 372 was a little different. when a person uses rangepoint rtx i am not sure they are buying anything much more than a temporary glonass unlock but others may debate that. At the end of the day i have been saying for years that its not really financially feasible to unlock anything on these monitors as your can usually buy an entirely separate device with the unlocks already on it, for the cost of the unlock, instead of unlocking yours.
