Subject: RE: Millet after wheat in a Northern climate?

North Central Illinois
I've planted pearl millet a couple times after wheat. It'll get 4-5' tall my September here just north of I-80. Sorghum Sudan will get 8-10' tall in the same window of time.

First pic is sheep grazing it mixed with buckwheat, sunn hemp, and and volunteer canola. Second pic is mostly buckwheat with a low rate of sunn hemp and pearl millet. I swathed it for the buckwheat seed and grazed the regrowth.
