Eastern SD | Whos using this technique? What are the potential downsides? Iv gotten into buying lambs to feed alongside my home grown lambs. Seems to be working really well. Been at it a couple years now. Im using a sell/buy marketing scheme where i try to buy back feeders the same day i sell fats. The markets been to the top and the bottom during that time and iv almost always been able to make a profitable trade. Im feeding 500 head now turning em every 5 months or less but thinking of doubling that over the next year. This sell/buy thing just seems to work but I'm wondering if im missing something thats going to bite me.
I realize most of you are cattle guys but the idea should be basically the same.
