Subject: RE: How Cheap is Corn Silage?

NWIL
In regards to cost per ton in raising the most feed per acre and having it in a place ready to be fed, for me corn silage is the best. Yet, while I’ve done it a few times, I haven’t done it in a long time. It comes down totally to how I’m set up on the logistics end of feeding it. With how and where my groups are set up and located chopped corn just isn’t the right fit. So I’ve pivoted to a wet baleage of triticale and sorghum/Sudan system for the bulk of my needs at a bit more cost per ton to grow/harvest, but it just fits better.

All that said, I wish I could make a bag of corn silage work.
