15 ton/acre corn silage @ 35% DM (65% moisture) still comes out to 5.25 Ton/acre D.M.

How does that compare to hay yield on marginal ground?

Can the guys who are getting only 15 Ton/acre corn silage able to get 5.5 ton/acre hay yields?  I suspect not.

No and to achieve that type of hay yield, you are throwing alot of money at it.

Harvest cost on cs is 10 a ton, haylage not counting mowing is around 20.
