From my point of view. Inputs, 75$/seed 125/fert 25$ manure spreading 50$/irrigation 200$land cost 50$ plant and spray. 525$/35ton 10$/ton to chop. 25$/ton silage. High quality feed, low costs. Pretty good option for mother cows and backgrounding calves. We get our chopping done for way less than 10$ a ton too using older equipment on lots of acres.
