Illinois has an estate tax that has a $4million exemption. Everyone just considers the federal exemption. For me the decision would be to sell the stock and give to daughter (I would treat other heirs equally) so she could buy it in her name and thus it would not be taxable upon death.
Buy the 160 close to home --sell stocks?
