Subject: Input costs

Kansas
I've read a few responses that say growing dryland corn is almost as cheap as growing wheat. How do you figure that? Fertilizer cost is about the same. Land cost, overhead, all that is the same. But I have to spend 3-5x on seed cost compared to wheat (especially if I save seed wheat). And the herbicide cost is at least 7x higher for corn than wheat. There are many times we don't even apply herbicide on our wheat.
