Sounds good to me. The only thing that stopped Dems from doing it was Manchin and Sinema and they are gone. Do it today, pass the CR then pass a budget and tell Shumer to pound sand. Dens will do it if they ever regain the Senate
I don’t talk to many folks during harvest; however, the past 3 days, I’ve heard more about SNAP food benefits being a big “social stability” issue for some areas of big cities. Basically, whole neighborhoods could teeter into riots in very short order.
There’s a part of me that thinks that a simple majority to continue SNAP benefits is all I’d do along with military personnel and air traffic controllers. Basically 3 items. Then, play political gamesmanship and say that the other side doesn’t care about the poor because they weren’t going to show up for work for the senate work they should be expected to do. |
