Central Missouri | In 2022 brazil produced 131 mmt of soybeans. The crop they are currently planting is projected at 176 mmt. That is an additional 1.467 billion bushels. They are going to undersell us every year from here on forward to get rid of their beans. Our dominant sales position in the world soybean market is over! Get used to it. Brazil will undersell us in the future to clear their stocks! Doesnt matter who is president its gonna happen get used to it!
Yes it is like the 70’s and it is setting us up for the 80,s. Its the cycle in grain production. No president either republican or democrat can do anything about it because when prices get high the world overproduces. No amount of finger pointing can change what farmers do. No complaining can do anything about it. Getting your fiscal business house in order and managing risk can do something about it but every so many years in ag the high cost per bushel producers get in tough shape.
Long term price charts indicate that prices will go down to 8 dollar beans and 3.50 corn. We dont know when or for how long but just as it was inevitable that silver breaks 50 it is also inevitable that grain prices will get cheaper we just dont know exactly when. | |
