North Dakota | This isn’t aimed at you OP and don’t want to post under someone else to make it specific. All this bit**ing and moaning is getting real old…real fast. I come here to find out tid bits of useful marketing info but sifting through the incessant negativity is harmful to one’s psyche.
The last 4 years focused on 1% of the population wanting to identify as everything from a houseplant to a dog. All points between. So this president is a blow hard. He isn’t even a glass half full psychologically he is a glass overflowing. Positive people tend to piss off incessantly negative people so I get the fumarole. But he is actually talking with the leader of a major world power specifically about agricultural products. Something related to like 2% of the population.
Whether you agree with his tact or not he was trying on our behalf to broker some kind of deal with a country that has never abided by their word even if they signed a document stating they would. The writing has been on the wall for many years China is looking elsewhere(South America) for agricultural products.
So what did this meeting accomplish? Whether China abides by their word or not at least we have some numbers to plug into the blanks for market direction.
We know the future with respect to China and ag products. That has been crystal clear by their actions for 10+ years.
Groaning and complaining isn’t going to force them to change their current path. We are going to have to learn to navigate a new agricultural landscape without China in the picture. It would be great to hear more thoughts and direction on that front. | |
