| I agree the government should not manipulate markets but I am not so against importing a cheaper beef option for people but it must be labeled.
Otherwise the only one benefiting and I say the only one is the packer.
Selling lesser quality beef marked as product of the USA is a shame and will continue to damaged to beef demand because people are disappointed when they splurge to buy beef.
I don’t have any problem with Canadian beef as the quality is probably better than some of the stuff raised in the southern USA. But anything from Mexico, Australia, or anywhere in South America should be clearly labeled so the consumer can choose. Then let the market take care of itself.
