Not sure there is as many cattle in Mexico ready to move north as some pronosticate. Remember Mexico supposedly shut their southern border last summer. I say supposedly because one never really knows the facts about certain events. Some say the border will open when the weather cools of and there is less chance screw worm will move north. Not sure about that as they had screw worm case that reclosed the border last February.

I guess what has me pissed is the way the whole process has been handled as of late. Letting rumors surface via social media of what may happen. How about actually have a USDA press conference on a Friday after the market closes? Actually provide factual information about border opening dates, tariffs etc. you know provide a playing field that the little people actually have a chance to make rational marketing decisions.I k know this is asking a lot of our USDA. The packers are the winners as of late and it’s not an accident.
