| They are super simple, the problem is either the valve is worn out or stuck by rust, or something got (mud dauber, chunk of air hose lining, etc.) in the air ports. Unscrew the barrel and check it out. I don't know if you can get a valve for those still from CP. These are designed to be in line lubricated, don't know if you ever put any air tool lube in it. Always put a couple drops in the air intake, then cycle a second, before storing for a couple months. Especially in humid environments. Pistons can get mushroomed over time, causing a lock up. If the piston doesn't move freely after disassembly and cleaning the cylinder, a light grind around the hammer end should free it up. I have some air tools from the 60's which still run like a champ. They were built before the planned obsolescence mind set sunk into our modern society. Most of these tools just need a good cleaning and proper lube, | |
