When I was looking at my 2188 before purchasing it, the dealership combine man who was going over it with me pointed out it didn't have one of those big funnel type bin extensions on it. He told me if I wanted to avoid problems not to put one on it. So far in 14 years no issues. Probably just jinxed myself, lol. Back in our gleaner days broke back axle on a L.

My 1999 model 2388 has had a large crary big-top hopper extension on it from new. It's now 26 years old, done a lot of work, including custom harvesting and so far no axle breakages. Touch wood.
