Northeast Tennessee | If a sizeable amount of beef is imported and the live cattle price takes a major drop, then the cattle cycle will not be completed, that will most likely result in the cow herd not being fully rebuilt which will leave the U.S. with a smaller cow herd and depending on more foreign beef. Not that the politicians really care, but this will raise the trade deficit.
