Has anyone seen 1 news reporter report that you can't rush Mother Nature?   Very few want to point out the smallest Beef herd in 70 years.   They don't talk about Supply and Demand.  And not one person has mentioned that if a Heifer calf is born today   it will April 2029 before her calf will be market ready!    People don't understand the cattle business.   Even my SIL that grew up on a livestock farm 60 years ago has forgotten how long it takes to get a  calf to market.

As a former Pork Queen I keep trying to get people to see the economics of  buying Pork.    Overall,  I buy Ground Pork rather than ground beef.  ( I'm picky enough I want ground Beef for my meat loaf.. otherwise, it is ground pork.)  Last week whole pork loins were $1.39!     Eventually,  the consumer will realize that beef prices are going to remain high for several years and start to use:  pork or poultry.      Just like the SNAP user that thinks snacks, pop, juice and cereal are "food"  there are consumers that can use a lesson in buying food.

So when pork and poultry come up then what is your argument?

The only place ground pork belongs is seasoned in an intestine and smoked. Plain ground pork is greasy and bland, kinda like Buffalo.
