I put a ventless fireplace insert in my son’s house. Before everybody gets her undies in a wad, it has a manual shut off valve that if the oxygen level should drop below 17% it shuts the gas off. We also put carbon monoxide alarms in the house. The upside of this is 100% efficient and all you need is a gas line. It uses the same technology as a Gas cook top stove has used for years. I would sure look into it.Bought ours in Rockford from Benson Stone. Pretty neat place just to go look around ….. Dennis
