That I can try, not much to lose there.
I do adjust the vents seasonally, A/C is not needed in the basement in the summer as it stays cool without - I close those vents in the summer. I have been partially closing some main floor and upper floor vents in the winter in an effort to direct more heat to the basement - maybe closing them further would help.
