Subject: RE: One job for life??????

RR Valley, ND; MN native
Grew up on a traditional farm in MN. So, I learned all sorts of stuff on the farm about running equipment (not the modern stuff of course), tools, fixing things, carpentry, wiring, etc. I took shop classes in HS too.

But, things turned out I went to engineering college and have been a design engineer for about 35yrs now. Designed a lot of electronics or supported things in production. In that time, have worked at 4 companies. I've done a lot of DYI stuff on cars, tractors, house remodeling, etc, etc.

So, lots of "jobs".

I was talking to the renter on the family land not long ago and he mentioned his wife was going to retire from her town job. She's 66 I think and worked for the same place for 47yrs! I don't think doing the exact same work there though.
