You can make fun of spiritual things all you want, it doesn't affect me in the least, other than saddened for your salvation.

Out of curiosity, do you still consider yourself a sociopath?

I recognize a couple of those tendencies - many, if not most, successful men do to some degree.  If you are aware, it isn't hard to control them.
Lack of empathy for adults is my worst one, I have great empathy for children in bad situations.
The other one, someone else said it best - "I follow the laws of society because I see that they are necessary for a civil society to function, not that they necessarily apply to me."
We can go a bit deeper, but that's it in a nutshell.

I've read a few books on the subject because it peaks my curiosity but it's hard to know what is true. When you say you struggle with empathy for adults, does that mean you struggle with empathy for adults who seem to have gotten themselves into situations only? Or do you not feel anything for the neighbor dying of cancer either? If your neighbor's child dies, do you have actual strong feelings of sadness for your neighbor or does it not affect your actual mood beyond knowing it would suck to be in those shoes? Would you feel ok cheating someone on a deal if you didn't think God was watching or would your conscience bother you?

Yes, depending on who you read, they claim many of the opposite things (traits) that define Socio and/or Psychopathy.
I had a niece that died of SIDS,  ~48 years ago, at 11 months old, and a 12-year-old nephew that was killed in an accident, ~15 years ago. Both bring tears and sadness if I talk about them.
On the other hand , a neighbor I've known all my life died last week, spent many nights at his house (best friends dad) honestly, no feelings of sadness other than, that's too bad. I will pray for those who are sick, and truly hope they get better, but again, no real sadness or tears when they don't.

I am very happy for friends who do very well in business and are successful, again on the other hand if they fail, "sorry man try again" is about it.

Anyone who knows me, knows - if I say I will do something, it will get done no matter the cost to me.

If I didn't have Jesus as my Savior and attempt to follow His teachings, things would be much different. To be honest again, I don't have a conscience, as I hear others talk about. Not that I've ever done anything really bad, but other than my one school friend , that accepted Jesus as his Savior late in life, and asked me  "Why didn't you tell me?" That cut me to the core. I don't regret anything , or any decision I have ever made.
Not arrogance, it just is. I don't know.

Things associated with sociopathy that don't apply to me

Never been in trouble with the law(other than J6, and if the police hadn't opened the doors, I would have never gone in)
Not impulsive with decisions, all are made with consideration
While I am capable of violence with what I know and my skill set, I have never been in a physical altercation since 1st grade (if you could call it that)
I seldom get angry, can't remember the last time I raised my voice in anger.

While I really do want the best for those around me, and will help them succeed if I can, it doesn't affect me if they fail. I seldom fail at anything I do.
All praise and honor go to Jesus Christ for who I am, and where I am today.

LOL, how is that for a "book"

Thank you, I appreciate you typing that out. What sparked my question to start was you said you were saddened for another posters salvation. I didn't think that fit the sociopath narrative.
