West central IL | My absolute favorite is to answer in a loud place, tell them I’m interested but they’ll need to speak up.
Back in my younger days I was in a bowling league and when I’d get calls at bowling I’d answer, tell them it was loud and to speak up, then I’d set the phone down, go bowl my frame or go buy the next round or whatever. Come back, pick up the phone, ask them to keep talking loud so I could hear. I once had one on the phone for quite a few minutes. | |
