When we were on the farm, we'd get these snake oil sales calls about fertilizers and soil treatments that would "double our yields!"

They never seemed to choose a more realistic number than "double."

Anyway, most of the callers sounded young and female. I'd let them get going on their sales patter, and my wife would be rolling her eyes at me, motioning me to "just hang up" so we could resume dinner.

I'd wait until the sales woman would ask "Do you have any questions?"

"Yes. (wait a sec) What are you wearing?"

This would always bring the conversation to a sudden halt, and get me a dirty look from Mrs. Dave.

I'd let the sales gal get going again about prices, etc. and then I'd ask:

"What about under that?"

This would get spluttering and accusations that I was some sort of pervert from the other end of the phone, and I'd get smacked upside the back of my head on my end. 

You can turn anything into an art form or a sport if you allow yourself to not be bound by convention.
