Will the chair just deteriorate anyway? Yes, very probably- you'll be the first to know how quickly, but hey, it's a chair. If it's the chair your grandma rocked you to sleep in as a baby, keep it indoors. Otherwise, enjoy it, but cover it when you're not sitting in it.
